Järnia brings the light!

We proudly present another player for the peace-team!
Åke at Järnia wants to provide the flashlights for our Mass Bed-in at Clarion the 29th of Oct!

So here is the deal. The 29th we will make some (white) beds for you to rest on, located to right of the ramp in the lobby of Clarion hotel. While enjoying the comfort of Clarions HighQ beds we will perform a little concert for you before we host the actual Mass Bed-in in which we will play together. Sounds good? Why, yes it is!

Peace!

This is cool!

Imagine Peace!

Shout-out till Lars Epstein på DN och Gärdets Kaffebar!

English BELOW!

Coolt.

Vi är också stolta att kunna presentera en ny sponsor! Kaffefrågan är löst!
Vi kan med galen stolhet presentera Gärdets Kaffebar som sponsor på kaffesidan! Heja, Per! Heja, Emmelie!

Peace!

Oh, and the ENGLISH!
Over at Lars Epstein's blog Epstein STHLM, you can now read about The World March for Peace, the activities surrounding it and about the support the march is getting from different directions. Besides Perfect Performance here in Stockholm, Jane Fonda, Juanes, Desmond Tutu, Dario For, Martin Sheen and Yoko Ono are among those who support the march. Or, as Lars Epstein writes:
Jimmy Carter, the Dalai Lama, Pedro Almodovar, Mikael Wiehe, Arja Saijonmaa, Maj-Britt Theorin are just some of the people around the world who supports The World March for Peace. Naturally, I support it 100 percent and will join the march in Stockholm the 29th of October. See you in there?

Us, you will not see in the march but you will see us by videolink during The World March for Peace rallies!

And do not forget to join the Dance Festival we are hosting form our beds. Fill out the form to the right, or join the group 13 Days Dance Festival in 6 days for Peace on Facebook!

Cool.

We are also proud to present a new sponsor! Coffee issue is solved!
We are mad proud to present Gärdets Coffee Bar as sponsor of the coffee side of things during our Bed-in! Heja, Per! Heja, Emmelie!

PEACE!

john blund

I couldn´t fall asleep yesterday and instead of counting sheep I found myself counting little John Lennons jumping over a fence. Over and over again with his round glasses jumping up and down on his nose.

god night.

When Finland says "YES" - You should to!

Ok, I do realize posting a picture of something you can see live in the menu to the right is a very silly idea. But the number of participants in the festival amazes me. And more are coming in every day. We are one week away from heading into our Peace Room. I am psyched. And the cloud is getting really crowded... will it turn all black before the 25th?

We spoke to Juha in Finland yesterday on Facebook. He is the Finish co-ordinator of The World March for Peace. We decided to do a live video event at their rally the eve of the 27th of Oct, with us In Bed for Peace here in Stockholm and them manifesting in Finland for Peace. Look out for info as we close in on the event!

Soon on a computer near you!

PS: We are still looking for food! Peace!

Kulturaaama

Yea it was very nice to meet the Kulturama students today and I hope they found it interesting and useful,
It was good to see the location too and to get an image of the place (because it is easier for me to remember things trough images. So when someone referes to Kulturama in the future I will have a easier time remembering what that person was talking about.)
It´s a great thing meeting people like this, visiting schools. I kind of feel like I´m trying to convert someone though, into a religious sect or something. Maybe we are. Haha. No sorry, we are not.
So Daniel had prepared a little talk about performance art and we discussed what performance is.
Then we needed to make it clear that our bed-in is not performance art but rather we see it as activism or re-activism.
BUT IT COULD BE PERFORMANCE. But its not.

The band is developing and it has been very nice rehearsing with the band. It kind of moves me. (daniel! we need to get a name for the band, how about "In bed band"? Or does anyone reading the blog have a suggestion?)
I´m Also looking forward to try out hotel outfits tomorrow.
Now I will have some night time coffee while sending a text message out into the world.

Oh we/I forgot to take a picture of the students so I did my best to draw them instead. By memory!

love you all

Kulturama are cool

So today we went to Kulturama and spoke with the classes Dans 1 and 2. Awesome, they seem like real smart people and we really enjoyed talking to them.

They have a theme-week next week about Performance Art. So we spoke some about that, about who we are and about our Bed-in. It'd be really kewl if they signed up for the 13 Days Dance Festival as well. I think they will!

So that's about it. Tomorrow it is back to crunching those choreographies (5 to go) and we will meet up with an excellent designer that wants to help us out with what to wear. Not what NOT to wear. We like it positive. Anyways, meeting her will be awesome and we are psyched about it.

Yes.

Happy News and Setbacks

GOOD
Ok, so we met with Peter from Framtidens Team today and it was really a upbeat meeting!
Peter decided he'd go in and give us actual monetary support! We are proud and immensely thankful towards him and his gang over at Framtiden Team. Big thx also to Ewa, who tipped us off!
This means we will be able to go through with ideas we've had for the Bed-in from the get go! Awesome. Truly fantastic.

BAD
On the downside we can share that Cous Cous decided to pull their support for our project. Considering the economic situation at the moment I can't blame them, but too bad, we really felt they were right for us.

Oh, NO!
Now we find ourselves with no sponsor of the food. We have nothing to eat!
Now, If you know of anyone willing to chip in for food, let us know! We do need to eat.

Note to self: Tomorrow, we need to look into the coffee issue, can't do a Bed-in without coffee - you really can't.

Sunday as usual

Not much going on today but then again, tons of stuff is happening all the time. Right now we are just trying to focus on the things we feel are the most important. Or as Tony Gustavsson said yesterday during the Sweden vs Denmark game in football: "You want to "act" and not "react"!"
I like this line of thinking. It is really easy to say. Let's act. Let's try and practice "acting". Uhm. Somethings missing here.

Ok, so on the list of todays "have duns" we can find:
♥ mails to different service-providers considering the public-streaming part of the project
♥ conversations with our bandwidth provider for select feeds to different public locations
♥ baked bread - "Ciabatta" like
♥ cleaning up of mailing-list (rooted out dead addys among other things)
♥ more text to be used on news sites
♥ washing clothes

We are still looking for sponsors willing to give us flowers - any amount is GOOD!
We are still working out details on The World March for Peace manifestation.
We still have tons of things to do but... it is Sunday. So cruising softly is ok. It is. Really.

That's it for now.
Peace.

Dance Piece for Peace I & II - down and rdy!

Each day during our 7 day Bed-in for Peace we will present a new dance-piece. They will be around 5 min long and performed in or around the bed (duh!).

Perhaps when considering we will be broadcasted 12*7 hours = 84 hours during the Bed-in, then the total running time of the dance-choreographies amounting to 35 minutes, may look like "very tiny, smallish potatoes" but maybe then it's even more important that we get them right. Just right. It is a possibility.

We've been hard at work conceptualizing each day of the Bed-in and now, when we feel pep and happy about where we find ourselves in the process, we've felt ready to move on to the dance-floor. Thus, after a few days, we can safely say we got "Dance Piece for Peace" I & II down. 5 to go! Easy peasy and tons of fun.

So what can be said about the two pieces? They are both like bon bons, with wings. Or like sweet apples with acidic travels into bliss.

John Lennon - Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Mr Lennon!
Peace!

Badminton practice?

This morning I eat breakfast and drank coffee with Stephen and then Love came to and we played smashball in the sun together in the yard. Waking up the last neighbor sleeping.
It was great.
We also talked a bit about nonviolence and a book I´m reading...
It was good for me to play some racket, I feel that it is important that I workout before the bed-in. If you know what I mean.
Actually, if anyone would like to play badminton with me or some other sport before the bed-in I would be very glad. I especially like badminton and I need to practice it before the bed-in because we might have a sports competition during the week. So if you would like to play badminton with me just give me a call. If you have my number. If you don´t have my number you can contact me on facebook or something if you feel that it would not be to weird.

Anyway we need to get TV interested in showing our dances for peace in their morning show. we need to make them understand that this will look absolutely amazing in a TV screen. We are working on it.

Now I´m going to stand on my head for ten minutes.
A good friend of mine told me it gets the metabolism going.

In the name of peace
Andrea

UPDATE - 5 Oct: 13 Days Peace Dance Festival in 6 days

This is important! As a lot of people are wondering about the "Dance" in the Dance Festival. We will clarify this once and for all!

Anyone can participate in the Dance Festival. You do not have to be a dancer to participate. Do not let the "Dance" in the festivities scare you off!
Dance is an extra turn before turning the corner, it is a smile too long before shaking hands, it is brushing your teeth with the wrong hand, or your feet.

We want all walks of life in the festival, all are invited.

You do NOT have to be a dancer, performer, actor, artist etc. YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU ARE. Ok? :)

We present the present 13 Days Dance Festival for Peace doers (no pun intended)!
You can now find them in the nifty cloud to the right!
Make sure to add your name!

Oh, the exclamations. Peace!

Press conference and The World March takes off

Yesterday, the 2nd of Oct The World March started from Wellington, New Zealand.
They've been on the road for one day now and we are psyched to welcome them to Sweden come the 29th of Oct.
Yesterday we also participated in the press conference held by the The World March co-ordinator in Sweden. Andrea did a awesome job in relaying what we are up to that among other things includes:
• 7 days in bed for peace at Clarion hotel Södermalm, Stockholm
• 12hrs a day live video-streaming on the Internet of the event.
• Hosting of Yoko's 13 Days Dance Festival for Peace from our beds
• Hosting of a Mass Bed-in the 29th of Oct from our beds
• Each day a new Dance Piece for Peace
• Theme days starting with "Opening Day", what else?

There will be a lot more going on during the week but it is a good idea to make a long lists short on a blog. Or so they tell me.

What we missed out on yesterday was Perfect Performance Inspirational shock taking place over at Dansens Hus. We were told it was a very cool event. Sad I missed it but some has to work. Really!

Peace!

We add Billebro to our list of sponsors!

We proudly present Billebro as another sponsor. They are giving us magic mad spons on all things lighting and FX. Without them we'd be lost in the dark - forever.
Billebro gives peace a chance!
